The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is minor creasing present, as well as wear in the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots present throughout. The leather trim has light wear and soiling present. The leather shoulder strap has heavy creasing throughout, as well as wear overall. At the right strap base there is a pen mark (please refer to photos). The goldtone hardware has flaking and surface scratches. The interior has some scuff marks and the pocket linings are starting to flake, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
